UIS SMF -300 Machine is used to determine the Melt Flow Rate Index of a polymer by extruding it in a molten state through a standard die under reference stress and conditions. This rheological behavior will assist polymerist & plastics machineries operators to provide optimum condition for the production process.

UIS SFR-300B Machine is used to determine the Melt Flow Rate.

According to ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133 standards, SMF-300B has a precision cylinder, piston and die which is manufactured accurately (in dimensions , roughness & hardness).
Two Seperated Digital PID temperature controllers provide standard temperature condition for the test.
Also, wide range of standard dead weights are available. Operator could select all standard test conditions (temp. & weight) to carry out wide range of polymers materials testing.
An Enhanced Cut off Device permits the machine to collect portions very accurate (+ 0.02 sec error) which can adjusted by Digital Timer very simply (in seconds or minutes). This cut off device eliminate collection errors which often occurs in very high (or very low) Flow Rate Index materials or in manual cut off operation.
For Corrosive Materials, Tungsten Carbide Barrel, Piston and Die are available on request.

Our UIS SMF-350 is a machine for determining the polymers melt flow rate via extrusion and passing them through a standard die under specific conditions and pressure. The rheological behavior and the test results help the polymer specialists and plastics machinery operators to have a physical properties of the granules for providing optimum production conditions.
